The Kurdistan Communities Assembly (KCA) is an American, non-partisan 501(c)(4) social welfare organization headquartered in Washington, DC. We are composed of Kurdish Americans and allies committed to strengthening Kurdish civic life, defending democratic principles, and ensuring that Kurdish perspectives are effectively represented within United States policy and public discourse.

Our mission is to serve as a bridge between Kurdish diaspora communities in the United States and the broader nation of Kurdistan. We promote informed engagement, strategic solidarity, and responsible American involvement with the four regions of Greater Kurdistan: Bakur (Northern Kurdistan), Bashur (Southern Kurdistan), Rojava (Western Kurdistan), and Rojhelat (Eastern Kurdistan), as well as with Kurdish communities globally. Given that these regions remain under the control of Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Iran, where Kurdish identity and autonomy are persistently constrained, we work to systematically document abuses, amplify credible reporting, and foster international accountability.

Our work centers on advocacy, education, and civic engagement, ensuring that US policymakers, institutions, and the American public understand the challenges facing Kurds and the democratic aspirations of the Kurdish people. This includes engaging with the U.S. government through direct lobbying, cultivating diaspora networks,
convening subject-matter experts, and facilitating informed dialogue on Kurdish political, cultural, security, and human rights issues.
